About Mikyo
Mikyo is a filipino non-binary queer artist also known as an inpired dumpster diver artist and multidisciplinary visual artist based in St. Thomas, Ontario. He/ She / They was born and bred on the mountains of Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines.
Mikyo's Work
Since the pandemic, with limited resources He/ she/ they have been collecting unconventional materials that are considered trash or recycled materials like plastic bottles, paper cups,boxes and many other more that he/she/they can repurpose and make it into a masterpiece for a sculpture and installation with painting in stylizing the material with concepts that tackles gender identity, political statement, activism, anti-transphobia, anti-racism, anti-homophobia, and environment.
